The terms, in plain English.
These are the terms a studio agrees to when it starts a trial or a plan on InRegister. We’ve kept them short and plain. Our solicitor is checking them, and if anything that matters changes, we’ll tell every studio before it applies.
Who we are
InRegister is run by the team behind InRegister. These terms are between us and the studio that signs up. InRegister is for businesses, not for personal use. For anything here, email us.
Your free trial
- Every new studio gets 14 days free, with no card needed, and one trial per company.
- At the end, a director chooses a plan. If nobody does, the studio becomes look-only: everyone can still see everything, nothing can be changed, and nothing is deleted.
Plans and paying
- Prices are on the pricing page, per month. Paying yearly costs 10 months for 12.
- You pay by card or Direct Debit through Stripe, or, for a first yearly plan, by invoice payable within 14 days. We never see or store card numbers.
- Plans renew until they’re cancelled. There are no refunds for part of a month or year.
- If a payment is missed, you have 14 days to put it right. After that the studio becomes look-only until it’s paid, and nothing is deleted.
- If our prices go up, we’ll give you 30 days’ notice, and studios already on a plan keep their price for at least 12 months.
- If we ever offer a lifetime plan, it’s paid once and isn’t refundable, including if InRegister stops trading.
Changing or cancelling
- Directors and finance can change plan at any time under Settings, Plan and billing. Moving up happens straight away. On a yearly plan, moving down happens at the renewal date.
- You can cancel at any time in the same place. You keep full use until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and then the studio becomes look-only.
- We keep the studio’s work for 90 days after that, so you can come back or take a copy. You can download your records at any time, before or after cancelling.
Your work stays yours
- Everything a studio puts into InRegister, its clients, jobs, files and emails, belongs to the studio. We look after it on the studio’s behalf, as the privacy notice explains.
- We don’t sell it, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models.
- The studio is responsible for having the right to put its clients’ information into InRegister, and for who it gives a seat to.
The AI helper
InRegister’s AI helper drafts, sorts, checks and suggests. It can make mistakes, so a person signs off what matters, and the studio stays responsible for checking work before it goes to a client. Where the AI helper takes on a job itself, its proof is checked by a person before anything goes out.
Freelancers
Bookings are agreed between the studio and the freelancer, at the freelancer’s own rates. We don’t employ freelancers or take a cut of their rate. The studio is responsible for how it engages each freelancer, including their employment status (IR35).
Using InRegister fairly
Please don’t use InRegister for anything unlawful, upload anything harmful, try to get past the walls between studios and seats, resell access, or put it under unreasonable load. If someone does, we may pause their access, and we’ll tell the studio why unless the law or safety stops us.
Keeping it running
We work hard to keep InRegister running, take a copy of everything every night, and tell studios about planned work in good time. We can’t promise it will never be unavailable, because it relies on other services too (listed on the security page). If it is down, the end of day report in each director’s inbox shows where every job stood.
Limits on our liability
Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we aren’t liable for indirect losses or lost profits, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to what the studio paid us in that time.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell every studio at least 30 days before it applies. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
